Accommodations and Living Arrangements

Orayta is located in the Old City of Jerusalem overlooking the Kotel. The main center is housed in a magnificent 900 year old Crusader building with an incredible rooftop view of the temple Mount (Har Habayit), Mount of Olives and into the Judean desert.

Students dorm in apartments located in Jerusalem’s charming Jewish Quarter. All dormitories are supervised by trained experienced dorm counselors.

Weekends (Shabbatot)

The Shabbat atmosphere is an integral part of the learning experience at Orayta. The Yeshiva will spend many Shabbatot throughout the year as a group, both in the Yeshiva and in various communities throughout Israel. Orayta's dorms are always open and staffed and students can stay in on “free Shabbatot”.  In addition our staff will help place students with families in different communities around the country.  

Security arrangements

All Orayta buildings are kept locked at all times. The Old City is protected by security camera surveillance and security patrol.

Depending on the security situation in Israel student travel to certain areas may be limited. Orayta remains in continuous contact with the security establishment.

Accrediting Universities

Orayta is in process of securing participation with American University Joint Programs.

Community Service (Living and Loving the Land)

Students will have the opportunity to choose from different modules of community work with some of Israel’s more challenged populations, to develop their sense of communal responsibility and giving back.

65,000 NIS plus airfare
