Year-Long Post-Semicha Fellowships

BECOME THE EDUCATOR YOU ALWAYS KNEW YOU COULD BE

Enjoy a year in the Old City of Jerusalem with Rabbis David Aaron and Binny Freedman developing the content and skills to become a world-class educator.

Isralight’s Yeshivat Orayta is proud to introduce the Isralight-Orayta Fellowship, a unique year of professional training for newly ordained rabbis, as well as those in their final year of semicha studies.

If you are (or if you know of) someone who aspires to be a Jewish Educator, Outreach Professional or Community Rabbi, then come join us for an inspirational year mastering the secrets to making a real difference in the Jewish world.

Yeshivat Orayta will offer to a select group, the opportunity to acquire the tools to transform the Jewish world.

  • Study in-depth the writings of Rav Kook and Rav Soloveitchik and the Chasidic Masters
  • Train in outreach techniques, leadership skills and interpersonal dynamics
  • Become adept in the art of informal programming
  • Learn  to deal with today’s most challenging issues and questions
  • Discover the methodology for making Jewish textual study  inspirational and relevant
  • Be a part of mentoring the next generation of dynamic, young, post High School leadership, with hands-on guidance from some of the most experienced educators in the world today.

If you have finished or are finishing your semicha, but still wonder how you would respond to a student / congregant with some of today’s more challenging questions; if you feel you have become versed in how to make a kosher kitchen but not how to inspire a Kosher soul then the Isralight- Orayta Fellowship is for you.
